Welcome to our teams from around the world

A word from Bishop Richard Ellena, Bishop of Nelson and SOMA NZ Chair
:
“It is so exciting to picture 400-500 delegates from around the world gathered here in New Zealand to discuss mission. Even more exciting to see SOMA at the very centre of the organisation alongside the Anglican Missions Board. The potential is all there for this conference to inspire and equip the church. I encourage you to be part of it.”

Come over here and help us!!!! (Acts 16:9)

A call to SOMA teams from around the world to help us here in NZ

A strategic missions provincial conference with Maori, Polynesian and Pakeha (European) dioceses -July 19th—22 2011 in Waikanae , New Zealand.
Keynote speaker Archbishop Ben Kwashi, enjoying worship at a SOMA conference.

with SOMA'S Chair bishop Richard Ellena coordinating worship.

Invitations to SOMA to do missions in 8 dioceses from our NZ bishops from July 23—August 1/8, 2011

New Zealand needs help! After years of sending more missionaries per head of population ,than any other country, it now finds itself in need of help ,as it is now regarded as the most secular English speaking nation in the world.

SOMA has found itself in a wonderful position to bring some encouragement by taking part in a Missions conference. The province is bringing key Polynesian , Maori and Pakeha (of European origin) leaders to a large four day missions conference, and  followed by missions in eight dioceses from July 23 to August 1st or 8th if teams can come for longer.

· Our dream, as SOMA New Zealand is to host 200-300 overseas SOMA delegates ,who will form 20-30 teams to move through our nation and bring that encouragement that comes from the gospel and the power of the Holy Spirit.
· Our dream is to impact the  spiritual leaders of our nation gathered at the missions conference from all kinds of spiritual formations to bring life back to their communities.
We invite you to pray about being part of a SOMA team from your country.
Rev Gradon Harvey
National Coordinator of SOMA New Zealand
